Ella Wofford is a rising junior from Lake Havasu City, Arizona. She is majoring in Global Studies and International Letters and Cultures (Arabic Studies) while minoring in Religious Studies and completing a certificate in Cross-Sector Leadership. Outside of academics, Ella is focused on strengthening her community through facilitating dialogues, participating in service events, and advocating for civic health.

Ella is active in the Next Generation Service Corps where she works on the environmental justice committee. She spent the last year as Changemaker Central’s Tempe Civic Engagement Chair. Most recently, she has worked under the direction of Dr. Scott Ruston as a research assistant, looking at Chinese disinformation in Indonesia and the Philippines.

Ella’s personal and professional goals center around improving dialogue in local and international communities. She believes this can be achieved by promoting honesty and transparency, holding power accountable, and creating accessible channels for all voices.
