Jesus Vega is a third year student majoring in Global Studies with a certificate in cross sector leadership and a certificate in sales and marketing. Growing up Mexican-American in a border town, Jesus is interested in learning about new cultures, learning new languages, and learning about the role intercultural communications plays in everyday interactions. He is currently a Policy Design Studio participant, is an intern under the US Foreign Service Internship Program, and studied abroad in South Korea for a semester. In addition, he hopes to one day open up a nonprofit to help low income minority students like himself and be a mentor to future generations. Until then, Jesus plans to continue his education at ASU, apply to the Fulbright, Pickering, or Rangel fellowships, and eventually join the foreign service as a public diplomacy officer.
