Vern “Rusty” Findley

Lieutenant General, U.S. Air Force, Retired

General Findley serves as an independent consultant specializing in the defense industry and is President of VMFindley Consulting LLC. He consults with various clients mainly centered in the defense and aerospace arena. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 35 years of active military service.

His last three assignments with the U.S. Air Force include: Vice Commander, Air Mobility Command; Director, Strategy, Plans and Policy (J5) for Headquarters, U.S. Central Command, MacDill AFB, FL; and, Deputy Chief of Staff, Strategy Plans and Assessment for Multi-National Force-Iraq, Baghdad, Iraq. His background includes extensive experience working with joint service peers, U.S. government interagency leaders, and senior military and governmental leaders of our partner nations throughout the Asian, European and Middle Eastern global environments.

General Findley is the Vice Chairman of the Board for an AZ non-profit focused on veteran employment and education. General Findley is also the Chairman of the Board for WG Henschen, a Scottsdale AZ based distributor concentrating on the aerospace industry.  He is an alumnus of Arizona State University, with a Bachelor’s of Science in Marketing; University of North Dakota, Grand Forks with a Master’s of Science in Business Administration; and Industrial College of the Armed Forces, Washington, D.C. with a Master’s of Science in National Security Resource Strategy. In 2001, he completed the National Security Leadership Course at Johns Hopkins University and Syracuse University.
