Craig Timberlake

Major General, U.S. Marine Corps, Retired

General Timberlake serves as the Chief of Student Leadership Development for the International Leadership of Texas (ILTexas); a public charter school located throughout Texas.  He retired from the United States Marine Corps after over 41 years of active-duty service and rose through the enlisted ranks to Staff Sergeant prior to receiving a commission via the Enlisted Commissioning Program. 

His last four assignments were as the Commanding General 3d Marine Expeditionary Brigade/Deputy Commanding General III Marine Expeditionary Force, as the International Security Assistance Force Regional Command North Deputy Commanding General and the US Senior National Representative (SNR), as Director of Manpower Management Division at Manpower and Reserve Affairs, HQ USMC, and as the Commanding General Third Marine Division in Okinawa Japan.

General Timberlake is a graduate of Mary Washington College (now the University of Mary Washington) in Fredericksburg, Va, the Marine Corps Amphibious Warfare School, the Marine Corps Command and Staff College, and the Naval War College.  General Timberlake and his wife, CWO3 Belinda Timberlake (USMC Retired) currently reside in Texas.
